A vertical pump motor (6.6 kV - 2550kW - 4 pole) 16 Ton motor with high vibration readings during operation came to Abu Adel Engineering & Mechanical Services as ‘urgent outage’, which resulted in a complete overhaul of the motor.

Overhaul Included:

• Complete dis assembly
• Cleaning and fault finding
• Overhauling rotor and stator, checking and repairing loose wedges
• Repairing of cooling fan and Top Hat (rusted)
• Balancing of rotor (7Ton)
• Assembly (with new bearings) and paint
• No load FAT test with a final overall vibration of 0.4 mm/s
• Happy customer

The job was completed in 3 days and customer was able re-start his plant as planned.
